WE DID THAT: My 2025 Year in Review

By Andria Shinn | January 2026

Whew.
2025 was one of those years that just… changes you.

It started with a record, Lose That Fire. Then came the shows, the road miles, the late-night rehearsals, the playlists, the unexpected hugs from strangers who'd heard a song and said, "Hey, that one hit me right in the chest."

This was the year we made something real. So here’s a little look back at what we built together.

THE MUSIC THAT STARTED IT ALL

22,400 streams on Spotify. 13,100 listeners in 142 countries.
On TuneCore, Addiction was your favorite with 8,275 plays.

I still can’t get over seeing those numbers. Not because they’re big, but because every single one of them means someone, somewhere, pressed play and gave my music a shot. That means more than I can say.

THE VISUAL VIBES

We passed over 600,000 total views across socials this year. That’s half a million humans tuning in. Let that sink in.

My live video from Tigre Island Room topped YouTube, and Instagram brought in hundreds of new friends. From acoustic takes to little behind-the-scenes clips, you showed up and kept the energy alive.

137 SHOWS. 14 CITIES. ONE NIGHT I’LL NEVER FORGET.

Let me just say it: opening for Brothers Osborne at Tannahill’s Tavern is going to live rent-free in my heart for a long, long time.

The lights. The crowd. The crew. And getting to stand on that stage with artists I’ve admired forever? Still surreal.

But that was just one night in a whole year full of them:

  • Tigre Island Room became a second home

  • Green Turtle Tavern gave us that cozy holiday magic

  • The Patio @5th & Ash brought those warm Fernandina nights

  • Concerts Under the Stars felt like music under the heavens

  • The big stage at the Shrimp Festival in Fernandina Beach was another true highlight — so many of you singing along, dancing barefoot, feeling every word.

We closed out 2025 with a New Year’s Eve beach show at Sliders Seaside Grill, and kicked off the next afternoon with another set. Honestly, perfect.

And playing with the Loyal Souls and making music with Gilberto '77? Dream lineup, I’m so lucky to have you all.

COMMUNITY MOMENTS THAT MATTER

One of the biggest joys of the year was getting to be part of the Salt Marsh Kids events.

Seeing the next generation light up around music, storytelling, and community moments filled my heart more than I can explain. Those afternoons felt like home, full of laughter, art, and the kind of energy that reminds you why we do this in the first place.

To every kid who played, every parent who showed up, every volunteer who made those days happen, thank you. That work matters. And I’m so honored to be part of it.

SONGWRITERS, STAGES & THE WORK BEHIND THE SONGS

Another huge piece of this year was getting to play and co-host at the Fernandina Beach Songwriters Festival and to lead the Amelia Songwriters Retreat.

We brought writers from across the country to slow down and focus on the songs. Mornings with guitars and coffee. Afternoons full of co-writes and quiet breakthroughs. Nights around listening rooms and coastal stages like the Florida House Inn, Golf Pub Social, and Tigre Island Room.

Getting to share those stages, and those songs, with folks like Tammy Rogers King, Eric Erdman, Thomm Jutz, Sean McCarthy, and so many more, reminded me how powerful this community really is.

Fernandina is becoming a place where songs come ashore. Where artists can breathe. Where stories grow roots.

And I’m proud to be part of it.

BEHIND THE SCENES AND WHAT’S COMING

There’s something else I’ve been keeping close. This fall, I started working with Mike Moore and the legendary Rodney Mills. Adding to my production team which already included Patrick Haynes and Ben Thomas, who  you all got to know from my debut album release this Spring. So 2026 should see some really cool songs coming out of the studio.

We’ve been in the studio chasing something that sounds like soul, sweat, and Southern roots. If you felt something from Lose That Fire, this next chapter is going even deeper.

THE SHINNION ARMY

This part is the hardest to put into words.

You showed up. In the comments. At the shows. In those quiet messages where you said, "This song held me together when nothing else could." That kind of connection, it's everything.

We grew this little community into something with a pulse, and something that really connects, and I’m proud to be a part of.

LOOKING AHEAD

2026 is already on my mind. More music. More miles. More nights with y’all singing along.

I’m writing again. I’m recording. I’m listening.

If you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you.
If you’re just joining in, welcome.

Let’s keep going.

Don’t lose that fire.
